Other stores owned by non believers take advantage of this religious-based convention so their employees can party a little harder on Saturday night and then be justified and leaving early.
At least that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. You may hate that stores aren't open, but having worked in many of them I know that damned if it isn't impossible to schedule people for a Sunday morning shift when everyone hates their job and plans to get wasted Saturday night. The employees NEED that time off, either for hangover recovery, sleep, prayer, or all of the above.

My illness has progressed to the point where it is not safe for me to drive. Especially long distances. And I'm up in Cleveland living with my dad because I also couldn't live alone safely. Now I hope for this to be fixed before Havana but in case it isn't I have to depend on others to drive me.

Yeah I don't like it. Besides feeling like chattal, I feel like I'm 14 and my dad or my bf takes me everywhere. Or else I beg my gal pals for rides. Eeeeesh.
