ok so I have some abdominal pain on my lower right area, and my right lymph node gland in my neck is swollen. I suspect my appendix might be inflamed and I plan to get it looked at today.

So if I disappear from chat, or to some of you if it seems like I have disappeared off the face of the earth, I just...

The blue skies signify a cold so intense you can feel the shards if winter embedding deep into your cheeks. Inebriated words from frozen lips, anesthetized hands make a weak attempt to grasp each other.

Yet somehow... A good friend can make you laugh at what would otherwise make you curse the gods.
Sorry to see you go and face life alone, sorry I must...

Well, today you are going home. A long 10 hour ride back from the cold Canadian Arctic dip. I hope you enjoyed your trip, I hope I showed you all Winnipeg has to offer. Thank you for your companionship. It has been really interesting and awesome getting to know you. It will be sad to see you go, but you are always welcome to my...

Oh Ivan Pertovich Pavlov, there is so much from your studies I can apply to my life... The conditioned stimulus and the conditioned response. I was doing OK last week with my newly gained riches and motivation to simply even get out of bed and face the day with vigor. This short lived spark of happiness and positive outlook has given way to my conditioned...

I was sitting there tracing my fingers along the grain of a bar top at a pub that was 60 years old. It was chipped and weathered and most of the lacquer had worn off. Though the wood was mostly bare it felt as though it had a slick finish on it anyways. I began to think about all the things this bar top has...

Any one remember the Mcdonalds Menu song from 1984?

"Big Mac, Mc DLT, a Quarter-Pounder with some cheese, Filet-O-Fish, a hamburger, a cheeseburger, a Happy Meal. McNuggets, tasty golden french fries, regular or larger size, and salads: chef salad or garden, or a chicken salad oriental. Big Big Breakfast, Egg McMuffin, hot hot cakes, and sausage. Maybe biscuits, bacon, egg and cheese, a sausage, danish,...

My thoughts this morning -

"wow.. remember exxon valdez?"
For those of you who were too young to remember - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exxon_Valdez_oil_spill
My elementary school had a rally to donate dish soap and tooth brushes to help people clean up the dying animals, sea birds and marine habitat. This single disaster was my turning point on how I view the environment and nature.. all it took...

Since my mom is a member of the Sierra Club, I have broken up the six pack holders for years. I can't throw them aways unless I do.
ta2dmom:
I cut them into pieces to make sure there's not even a tiny hole that can catch something.
The good thing that some companies are doing now, is making the rings "tearaway" so they rip open as you take the can out. Of course, the best option is NOT to make them at all. frown

Fair Trade
Some of you already know about what fair trade means, to the point where you support it in your daily life. Some of you know of it but not enough to feel that it is important enough to support.
Some of you know nothing about it.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Fair trade is an organized social movement which promotes standards for international labor,...
