It's been almost a year since my last entry. I think the main reason I haven't updated this thing is because so little has changed in my life. I still have the shitty job I spoke of the last time. My wife still works at the same job I spoke of the last time. We both want new jobs for various reasons. We'll see how that actually goes. We were able to get out of that shitty ass, broken down, mouse and roach infested house we were in and into an very nicely renovated fantastic house in a shittier neighborhood. We can't seem to catch a break. I think the best thing to happen to us overall in 2007 was the addition to our family in canine form. We got a puppy in the spring and despite the pain in the ass she can be we wouldn't trade her for the world. Overall 2007 pretty much sucked. I have some hope for 2008.

On a more positive note. For the first time in almost 10 years I can proudly say that I am excited and proud to be an American.

Holy crap, it's only been a month and I am already updating again.

Work is work. I just worked my last day at my part time job(ikea) and it is with mixed emotions that I left. I met some awesome people there and had a lot of great times, but it is time for me to go. One of my supervisors at the full time gig told me last week that they are looking at me for a promotion so we'll see what happens..

The wife and I still want to move but now instead of buying right away we are gonna rent for another year or so. We is not the most financially responsible people and that is something we want to work on this year before taking on a mortgage. We are gonna stay in South Philly (cuz after all that's where all the cool kids live) just outta this shithole house and into one hopefully less shitty.

Since I got only one question on the last go round I'll try it again.

This has been perhaps the longest I have gone without updating this damn thing in three years. Amazingly not a whole lot of importance has happened in that time.

The wife is good, plugging away at her job at the Vet. Clinic. It is the perfect job for her and I can tell she feels the same way. She really likes the work and the people are the best.

My job is going well, I seem to be permanently attached to a new line of projects which is good for me. The manager overseeing them is a friend and my mentor in this business. The projects are very high profile for both my company and our biggest customer(about 75% of our business). They are only using the best of the best for these projects and I am apparently towards the top of the list of Team Leads to oversee them. All this serves me well in trying to line myself up for a promotion which might be coming soon.

The misses and I almost bought a house from her Grandmother until she changed her mind at the last damn minute. It kinda sucks because it was a great deal on a good house. The plus side is now we are gonna try and do it completely on our own. This means no trying to make Grandma's house into our own. Also no family second guessing every change we want to make to the house they all grew up in.

Now 2007 is here and all I can say is "Fuck off '06", you were nothing but aggrevtion and bullshit. If 2007 is only half as crappy as 2006 it will stil suck, just not as much. I have some personal shit and issues I need to work on and I think this is the year to finally do it. It's grown up time.

Well, this is probably one of the longest journals I have ever written and that means it's a good time to stop.

Well, as usual life has been hectic. Somedays I don't know if it will ever slow the hell down. The latest addition to our family and detriment to our free time has been this little girl who came home Saturday.



Her name is Puka and she is about 5 weeks old. I gues this is what happens when your wife works at a vet clinic. She hilarious, as most kittens are.

105 Ride or Die

Well I figure that it's about damn time I finally update this damn thing.

I have changed jobs again since my last post. I was really unhappy at the securiy company. The job was cool, the guards that worked for me were cool, but the owners were insane. The are the type of people who think that everyone is beneath them and they treat everyone around them like total shit. As a result I decided it was time to part ways. I have since gone back to my old job of retail merchandising. I ws good at it and it paid well so here I am.

The wife is doing well. She just started a new job at a vet clinic and so far loves it, so that is a damn good thing.

Well I'm sure there's more and if anyone really cares to know they can ask.

I also wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. I have been real busy with work lately and I hadn't gotten to it.

Well it's been a while as usual. A lot has happened since the last time I got around to doing this. New Years was awesome. The mummer's parade was awesome. My partners and I sent out four suits and three of them came in. The club we belong to took first place overall so we got hammered in celebration. For those of you simply not cool enough to know what a mummer is go here.

Now onto the busy shit. I got yet another job. I know I just started full time at Ikea, but it was never meant to last forever. I went to Ikea because I had to get out of where I was and they were willing to help. An opportunity recently fell in my lap that was simply too good to say no to. Long story short I am going to be managing event security for the Philadelphia Convention Center. It's a buttload of responsibilty and possible headaches but the money is worth it.

Well that's the main parts of what has been going on.

Ok since lilyk asked here it goes.

I'm down to one job which I actually like so that's a good thing. I'm making less money which kinda sucks but I am fuckloads happier and there is alot more advancement opportunity for me.

Saturday the wife and I are moving into a new house. Right now we are in a small one bedroom on the 2nd flr of a duplex rowhome. We are moving into a two bedroom rowhome in South Philadelphia. Still renting but a fuckload more space and we can finally have parties. So if any of you ever can make it to Philly, a party will be thrown in your honor.

I know this is long overdue but better late than never right?
Well the wedding went fantastically. No problems, beautiful weather and everyone had a great time. The honeymoon was even better. We had soo much goddamned fun in Disney world it's not even funny.

On another positive note I was able to finally put in my two weeks notice at my bullshit full time job the other day. I will be going fulltime at my parttime job. It will be a slight cut in pay but there is more opportunity for advancement and more of a future for me there. Plus I really like it and I fucking despise my fulltime job.
