My favourite swearword, ever. Oddly, in the USA it seems to be used exclusively to describe noxious women. Here, in the UK, it's use is generally aimed at men, usually prefixed with words like: 'Lazy'; 'Stupid'; 'Ignorant'; 'Fucking', etc. I've noticed that Americans don't stress the final 'T', so that it sounds like: 'Cund'. In the UK, that final 'T' is stressed, and the word becomes a threat. I prefer it when used in it's original sense, instead of the rather anodyne 'pussy', to describe female genitalia. The origin of the word is Latin, from the word 'Cuneus', meaning a wedge. Some people still don't like the word - as a joke, my brother got me a pin that just has the word 'Cunt' on it. I was wearing it in a pub, and one of the bar staff complained. The next week, I went with a pin that said 'Fuck'. Nobody said anything.
