A shiver of rainswept wind brushed past me just as I ducked inside. Another long night of editing awaits, but I'm nearly there, at 90 pages and counting. I defend on Thursday in front of a panel of three. Wish me luck? I'm not too nervous. I do know it damn well. And then, and then...I won't know where to go from here, from being...

Raaar, another blissfully sweltering sunny day. I made a resolution on the first of these distractingly perfect evenings to banish fear and master slacklining and hand-standing. I can't get very far on the slackline yet, but today I had a breakthrough in headstands. Still using the head, but even so, it's a glorious, idiosyncratic feeling! To take a study break upside down. As soon as...

It's been hot here too, hotter than usual. Spent my first afternoon this year at the river yesterday and ended up with some sunburn despite all the sunscreen

I think I understand a little bit about the duality of a site like this, but if it's fun and puts a smile on your face then it can't be that bad wink

Thanks for the tip on bike week. smile
crispy:
Wait ... you have a set in review? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!!

wink

I'm still surprised that it hasn't garnered more attention, at least as displayed through comments. These people are weirdos or something.

As for ideas, I got nothin'. Maybe something that ties in with your outdoor activities ... like climbing or something?

Sweat beads between skin and jeans and I think of the benefit of vitamin D and the danger of UVB and the clamminess of my clothes and sharp blades of grass between my toes and I want to feel burnt tomorrow so my skin is hot to the touch even in a cool dark room, so my face is flushed like I'm blushing, so my...

I would like to say fuck all the sunscreen and hats but yet I still have that nagging voice yelling "skin cancer" which takes some of the fun out of the sun. frown

I love that feeling smile

and congrats on your talk!

This morning the air was balmy before the sun had even begun to bake down. It was the perfect opportunity to listen to Panda Bear's 'Person Pitch' while biking up a steep and winding hill across town into a shimmery sprawling park, which I believe una shot a set in.
At the top were a stand of oaks and horse chestnuts, the perfect trees for...

Last Sunday I wrote to you with a dusting of late snow on the ground; Today I've just snuck back inside from the sunbaked tar roof where I was lying half-naked until the last salmony light slipped down below the buildings and trees. The streets are lined with Doug Firs and Sicamores, Green Maples, Dogwoods, Cherry and Plum, Spring flowers dripping onto sidewalks and beginning...

After weeks of a self-imposed seclusion, I ventured out determined to experience my weekend to the fullest. A school event provided an open bar, as well as every ex and admirer of lovely-boy. For the most part they are all exceptional women, but I I was on his turf, and resolved not to shrink into the corner as my sober self desired to do. So...

2:00 AM already, again. I'm frustrated by my lack of progress on this paper, and it's making me edgy, which makes me angry at myself. Alpha boy is being so sweet, but like anyone, he gets annoying sometimes. Normally I brush it off, but these days I jump at the smallest bait. It isn't like me, and amazingly, he knows that and continues to be...

Or shouldn't I even ask?

Best of luck with it.

It's strange - I simultaneously want people to read and comment on what I write, and fear people reading what I write and not getting it.

I go crazy if I can't write everything that gets in my head, because I just keep dwelling on it.

I take some sort of comfort in knowing that most of the people I interact with in real/professional life don't read it, but there's always an ounce of hesitation when I write something about someone that they might not want made public.

This may be why no one will be friends with me.

So Keena has a girlfriend and a boyfriend and I'm jealous and impressed. Ironic though that I just used the word jealous, because that's exactly what's keeping me (and many others) from having too much of a good thing.
I wrote a post here months ago about dealing with a 'special friend's' jealousy over another friend of mine he felt threatened by. I made it...

It is interesting to stretch the emotional limits of relationships and our own boundaries in the realms of sex and love especially in this somewhat hypocritical country.

@()&*)(EURFP(OI_)I@!!! I haven't gotten any thesis-work OR homework done in weeks! Springtime came to Oregon and all I want to do is rock climb, slack line, barbeque, bike ride, and lie by the river reading Hemingway and drinking cold organic white wine. I'm aiming for the all organic local veganism, for a bit, because I think everyone should put in their time at being socially...

Well-thank you for your comments of support.
And speaking of non-vag shots (although anatomically off, I do kinda love that word. Vag. Haha, vag...)
Oh, but anyway, architecture!
Visited the Steven Holl addition to the Kansas City art museum. First of all, Kansas City, MO is an oddly beautiful place. The colossal Union Station pays tribute to the forgotten grandeur of crossing the country by...

I liked the Guggenheim and the Metropolitan in New York. There is a kind of serious serenity found in are museums that maybe a few drinks would change.

I love traveling by train, and, when I worked in the city, used to love walking through 30th Street Station every day. It just so happens that I made the trip a few weeks ago (yet another interview) and actually brought my camera with me.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Interior (duh!)

Exterior from across the river ... just outside the building where I had the interview (and where I used to work a number of years ago).

Also, if you've never visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art, you should try to fit that in someday. It's amazing.

Thanks for all the comments and what not; some are pretty damn creative. "More junk in the trunk than a Honda" ?(It also rhymes with Jane Fonda. I love it.)
Some of the tags are pretty funny too. Like the one that says "no vag." I have a couple questions for whoever left that one. 1) Do you actually want to see my vaginal canal,...

I am glad you have added your creative intelligence to the site. If members just want vag/vulva they should look elsewhere. I like this site because it seems more like an opportunity for girls to express themselves, make some money and hopefully get some self esteem kudos about their looks and sets.

Hmm. I've had two questions arise from my last post. 1) What is my article about? That I will leave a secret, as the other question is much more interesting. 2) If I turn into a Woolly Mammoth, can you ride around town in a chain-mail bikini? YES. Of course. Get ready, I feel the Mammoth power coming on.

A woolly mammoth in a chain-mail bikini, or someone in a chain-mail bikini riding a woolly mammoth? Perhaps it doesn't matter.

will we be getting pics of you in a chain mail bikini then? love biggrin

i can't seem to leave a comment on your jane fonda set... surreal But wanted to say that it was great. and that you have an incredible body! kiss
