I actually had a post about being depressed about a month ago I think... my comment on it was that I strangely enjoy it since it's so it's so infrequent for me anymore. Weird take, I know. I have all the same side-effects as you... not wanting to be around my best friends, and just wanting to chill alone, or go for a long drive and get lost on purpose.
Then I listen to the Smiths, and I feel better for some odd reason. I'm weird.
Regardless, everyone has their downtimes, and if it really bothers you, I'm sure you'll get closer to either discovering what ails you or what is needed to resolve it. That's typically the order I go in.
