i wanted to thank you for acknowledging some of the images i’ve posted. i wonder if you have ever heard of the book “The Gallery” by John Holmes Burns. it takes place in Naples in 1944 and is a collection of “portraits”, of people and things that took place in the Galleria Umberto 1 during the American occupation. Burns himself was gay, and this book, which became a bestseller upon it’s publication in 1948, describes scenes which i believe it save to say, would not be found elsewhere. something tells me that you might like it, or appreciate it’s honesty. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Horne_Burns
