I think the ‘color scientist’ is B.S. The more likely reason for the limited colors is based population stats. Here in the USA, only 13.6% of the population is Black and that doesn’t really change how many of these products are purchased by consumers, right? So the makers don’t see making darker colors as cost effective. Why pay for the dye to make more colors when the % of those colors consumed is less than 14% of the total number. It isn’t right, and I’m not defending them. It’s just capitalism at its core and that sucks. ☹

@askalex mine were too. That's why I don't like it when people misrepresent the treaty system. It's not Canada's fault that some bands misuse their sovereignty, but the reality is that reserves and their inhabitants are not subjects to Canadian sovereignty. Canada simply pays them funding every year and it's up to each individual band or council to allocate those funds how they see fit. Did we learn nothing from the Atiwapiskat scandal?
